We know how important it is for students to feel comfortable while at school so as to foster an effective learning environment. We strive to make our classrooms and facilities welcoming and accommodating, so that our students have a calm and relaxed place to learn.
A lot of attention is placed on making our campus a non-judgemental space, encouraging learners to progress at their own pace and feel happy asking for assistance when they need it. Our tutors and facilitators place a lot of importance on our students’ well-being and go out of their way to make their experience a positive one.
Our grounds have a tranquil, leafy garden, providing students with calm, shaded areas for quiet reflection, reading and group discussions, as well as a covered chill area for rainy days.
There are two organised excursions per term, with the focus ranging from education to team-building and fun. Excursions can include museums, zoos, expos, laboratories, and range of things from paintball and laser quest to bowling or hiking. These day trips are valuable and enjoyable; they allow students to be exposed to different ideas, activities and experiences, broadening the students’ minds.
In addition to full-day outings, students sometimes visit the local park to play sports and games requiring more space or to have suitable lessons in the peaceful natural environment (English literature and poetry lessons are the most common). Students benefit from the change of scenery and the exercise.
Specialist speakers visit on occasion to brighten and enlighten minds on a wide range of topics – some career related, others that offer new skills or open up the world some more.
